Computer office furniture is sold nearly everywhere. Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Office Max, and high end furniture stores.

That means there is a large range when it comes to quality versus crap. This article explains how you can tell the difference and choose quality computer office furniture for your home or place of business.

Get physical with the computer office furniture before you buy it. Knock on the wood. Grab the desk and wiggle it back and forth. Does it move? It shouldn’t move easily. If the piece feels sturdy, it probably is.

Determine the composition of the computer office furniture. If it’s metal, ask what type of metal. Steel is best if you’re talking about metal.

In fact, stainless steel is better. Maple, and oak are good woods if the furniture is made of wood.

Check the rolling keyboard shelf if the computer office furniture has one. These should glide without a hitch in and out. They should make no noise and feel well lubricated when they move.

Check the shelving units on the computer office furniture. Are they held up with pegs? This isn’t necessarily bad. If the pegs, however, are plastic, walk away. It’s not a quality piece.
