Give your office a makeover with the right branded products

Promotional products can be a great way to reinforce your brand identity and company values among your staff. They can also be used to great effect for internal communications or to support different initiatives – whether that’s a new health and safety policy or the latest sales drive.

For a few suggestions on how to use promotional products around the office, read on.

Invest in personalised mugs

Having a tea or coffee break is one of the most popular activities in any office, with us Brits drinking an average of 165 million cups of tea a day, according to the UK Tea Council.

Not only do we love a brew, but going to make a hot drink gives workers the opportunity to take a break from their computer screen and enjoy a quick chat with their colleagues. Because making tea or coffee is so integral to a working day in the office, buying some branded mugs for the staff canteen can be a great way to remind your team of the latest company logo, slogan or branding.

According to the British Promotional Merchandise Association, the average cost per marketing impression for printed mugs is £0.001 per impression – which is far cheaper than other forms of offline advertising like TV and radio advertising.

If you really want to increase loyalty to your brand, you could even personalise each mug to individual employees when they have achieved certain milestones, such as a long service award. Or how about with some printed Balmoral china mugs for a team celebration for the Queens’ Jubilee?

Give out office stationery

Offices are full of stationery items, from pens and USBs, to items like rulers and rubbers.
We all use a pen on a daily basis, whether that’s to write down an important telephone number or jot down an action point in a meeting. What’s more, if you purchase personalised pens for your office you could leave some in areas where they can be picked up by customers or clients. Many companies have printed pens in their reception area or meeting rooms.

Whether they’re taken by staff or customers, little things like pens can often end up slipping into handbags or pockets and travelling outside of the office. But don’t worry – as this provides another opportunity for your brand or marketing message to get exposure (particularly if the pens are subsequently passed on to friends or colleagues).

Decorate desks with promotional products

You don’t have to stick with small items when it comes to distributing promotional products at work. This is, after all, your office, so you can go as big and proud as you want to in an attempt to drive your message home to employees.

Opt for a calendar for each desk, for instance, featuring your name and logo. You could even personalise them by including photos of staff members for each month – this will get your team to feel a greater attachment to the calendar and their colleagues, for sure!

Another idea is to use roller banners printed with your company mission statement, values or latest internal communications. Not only will this reinforce what your company is about to those who work there, but it will also be seen by visitors to the office, who will be reminded of your brand and what you stand for.
